Your Sexual Health

For my first piece of advice I've got to stress the importance of safe sex!

I'm not saying ABSTAIN! God how would we survive I mean I know I can't go a day without at least masturbating.

All I'm saying is take some precautions people.

All of the following are free from your GP or sexual health clinic:

Coil (IUD)- A small plastic device, no bigger than a match that is inserted into the womb and prevents pregnancy. As soon as it's done you don't need to worry about forgetting to take any pills.

Implant- A plastic tube inserted under the skin in the upper arm, (I have this and can vouch for it) that releases a hormone that stops the womb lining forming thus deterring pregnancy. These need to be replaced every 3 years, no worrying about pregnancy for 3 years amazing!

Contraceptive Pill- There are a few of these available and it is of the utmost importance that you take these as directed as incorrect use WILL lead to pregnancy. Only agree to take these if you're VERY ORGANISED lol!

Condoms - All of the above will prevent pregnancy but WILL NOT protect you against STIs. The only thing that will prevent against both pregnancy and STIs is a condom as long as it is used correctly and within date.

These are just a few contraceptives there are others available such as diaphragms, injections and patches!

There are a few more alternatives but the are quite drastic including the snip and hysterectomy OUCH!

If you need to know anymore about don't hesitate to ask!
